Melo Bees operates in East Kent and has a number of apiaries in the surrounding area. He runs close to 1000 nucs and their mission is to produce nucs, queens and packages of bees. Marco has been interested in beekeeping since he was 12 years old in the Azores, where he is from. Melo came to the UK in 2012 with the intention of running a beekeeping business and started trading with his partner, Michaela, in 2016.
