I purchased these quality hives from Gwenyngruffydd and they are so good I am changing all my hives over to Anel so far six purchased and more to buy
IMHO trialling v1 and now v2 the entrance is not as good as the old version. It's far too flimsy. The older version was much better made and solid. You could position it in a number of ways such as an anti wasp guard without taking your hive apart. This seems to just have entrance reducer which knocks off a lot of pollen and close If you want it completely open it appears that you have to take the hive of the stand to remove the flick entry but I stand to be corrected. The old version you just removed the entrance. I've got a hive with both in and the bees totally ignore the new style in favour of the old style. Personally I think they've made a big mistake as it's just not sturdy enough and less flexible by design. I think it's a bit of the gimmick. The Technoset stands head and shoulders above them by comparison. It's really solidly made and with a single push you can open and close the entrance. When the Anel closes completely it's solid plastic. The Technoset has pin size air vents small enough to stop anything getting in but big enough to let air circulate. The bottom board is rubbish and has no varroa tray unlike the Technoset. The Technoset is designed to convert it into 3 separate nucs which the Anel doesn't. The Technoset is much more flexible in so many ways.
The Anel does score on the upper vents being more flexible and having a NFC tag on the roof that you can connect to their app if thats what you want.
I've just put in an order for Technosets because I think they stand they stand head and shoulders above the Anel in so many ways. I think Technosets are the Rolls Royce of plastic hives I would have preferred to support Gruff but at the end of the day they just don't cut it.
Saying all that Gwenyn Gruffydd provides swift and excellent customer service and wish him well on his endeavour.

Have just received my second delivery of a feeder or two from them...Will definitely buy another Anel Hive great quality and price and easy to handle and use....
I bought one a few weeks ago and have since transferred a colony from a traditional wooden langstroth hive. The bees settled in without a problem and are doing well.
I have now bought two further ANEL hives which are really excellent value for money.
And the delivery arrangements were also excellent.
Good communication with company, delivered no problems
