Apidea Mating Hive for Queen rearing
The hive is supplied with a complete set of parts and is of outstanding quality.
It comes with complete with:
- 3 x plastic frames
- Ventilation grid
- Queen excluder
- Transparent inner lid
Made from hard styrofoam, the walls are approx. 20mm thick for optimal insulation.
3-frame brood box, which can accommodate 5 frames with feeder section removed.
Roof with roller cage recesses
Removable sliding floor
Removable feeder – capacity for up to 500g fondant
Transparent inner lid with an opening for the insertion of a queen’s cage with a cover flap.
The product is the proper apidea, where all the parts fit and the clear cover sheet tucks into a recess, with the hole in the right place. Worth the extra money in my opinion. Despite painting, the bees have eaten the front of the cheap competitor, so it is bin-wards as soon as the bees have been moved. The order was fulfilled quickly and all arrived promptly, in good order. Recommended.
